Tomorrow's People

Tomorrow's People runs innovative programmes that support excluded and disadvantaged people to find and keep a job. Their In-2 Work programme, developed in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service, supports young people caught up in gangs to disengage from criminal activity and build positive lives through work or training.

Across the first three rounds of In-2 Work, 55% of participants moved into jobs and 22% into training, far surpassing the expectations of police and other agencies.

The Stefanou Foundation provided transitional funds for In-2 Work when seedcorn funding had come to an end. This stability enabled Tomorrow's People to carry on proving the value of the programme, which has now won three years of funding from the National Lottery. Dennis (pictured) was among those who joined In-2 Work and used the help to start a new life, supporting his mum and finding a job with a high street retailer. He also began his own creative projects, setting up the urban website Endz2Endz and hosting his own photography exhibition.
